Pic of Tantum wheel chocks (made my own)

I made some new wheel chocks today to fit our Laredo 29BH.
All the materials required I obtained at Home Depot. I also
created a drawing with dimensions detailing everything.
The drawing is in .pdf format. Contact me and I'll be glad
to sent the file to you.

Sure would !!!
The only issue is it would need to be about 4" long !!
I've played around with these a lot and to really snug
them up properly against the wheels firmly you need
something that long to get the mechanical advantage
needed to actually lock the wheels.

Most people take tools on there trips just in case
so I tighten my chocks up with a 6" wrench

Those are just about exactly like what I was thinking about building. I have been told that the trailer is a lot more stable with them. Did it take alot of the "wiggle" out?

They work great.
I learned this trick from a friend of mine by the name Of Wes. I have been using this devise and it helps alot to keep the camper from moving.
We recently bought a new camper and I need to make a new set of stablizers. I used a 1/2 inch all thread rod and keep a 3/4 inch wrench in the camper to tighten the nut.
Take care
See Ya

I was thinking of welding a nut to a piece of steel to bolt to the bottom chock and weld a nut to the thread rod for the top so I can use a socket to tighten things. Now all I need to do is get the doctor to let me get rid of this collar and 5 pound weight restriction.

Howdy!

I just made some wheel chocks myself. Only differance I us 1/2 pipe & set of pipe clamps. Got the 1/2 pipe clamps a Harbor Frieght for $5.00 a set, and a 24" piece of pipe for $3.00 a Home Depot. Home Depot was a little pricey on the pipe clamps. The nice part is your can ajust them quickly sith the pipe clamp then just crank them down with the screw handle. No tools required like with the screws and nuts.
