Smile Which brake control

I am looking for a new brake controller for my truck, and have narrowed it down to either a Prodigy or Jordan. Looking through the posts the Jordan seems to be the favorite here. Any input appreciated, and if anyone has used the Jordan for awhile could tell me how well it works and if they have had any trouble. The Jordan is not available where I live and even had one supplier tell me they are not making them anymore

I just installed the prodigy, man was it easy!!!! Haven't fine tuned it yet but the plug and play was priceless to me...No details to mess with just screw the pocket in and I can take the controller with me! I had to make the exact same decision and went prodigy we'll see...

i got the "cheapo" from Advance, Valley Industries. p# 52740, $59.95.
mounted it above the gas pedal on the knee panel, don't have to be flat like some.

adjustable attack, intensity, and manual
digital display of values (i set 40 and -4) and self diagnostic, indicates if there is an open in the circuit

every one here keeps posting that's it crappy, though. worked great for me, my buddy's experienced tower, he liked it too. emer stop with his 8x24 7k lb trailer was great from hiway speeds.

I had the Prodigy, it was SWEET. I now have the Jordan it is SWEETER
They both work well. I like the Jordan better for my 5VR.
Don't get me wrong the Prodigy was real good but I heard so much about the Jordan I decided to try it out. It will lock down the brakes real good and doesn't care if you are moving fast or slow depending on how high you set it. It works on brake pedal travel nat not inertia so even in city traffic the trailer will stop good.
If you go with the Jordan then go to your local RV store and pick up the pigtail for it. It makes hookup just soo much eaiser.

I have the Prodigy and am well satisfied with it. I pull 2 different trailers and it's real easy to adjust between the two. It's very easy to hook up. Not familiar with the Jordan but every one who has one says it's great. I guess it's just what you want.

I've used a ramped output time-based controller (Reese Brakeman I), inertial controller (Tekonsha Prodigy) and now the proportional output Jordan Ultima 2020. The Jordan is head and shoulders above the others.

Jordan - - much smoother than my old Prodigy. Installation is very easy - - no biggy at all. One extra control wire to mount versus the Prodigy. Whooopppieee, maybe an extra ten minutes at the most. It would be worth it if it took a day to mount it - - it's that much better.

JORDAN JORDAN JORDAN JORDAN JORDAN JORDAN JORDAN JORDAN JORDAN JORDAN

Did you get that??

Hands down the best I've ever owned or used (of course, it's the first I've owned....but not the first I've used). Smooth, proportional braking no matter what your speed or road conditions.
