Brake shoes which is which?

Hi all,
I'm doing my rear brakes after 192,000 miles.
Actually I did them last night, along with the change out to the bigger wheel cylinders.
There was still plenty of meat left on the shoes.
After putting the driver side on and being happily surprised that the drum slid right on even with the adjuster sticking out some I did the passenger side.
Couldn't get the drum on at all.
All the shoes looked the same.
Got out a caliper (the measuring kind) and what do you know two of the shoes have more meat on them than the other two and I have both the fat ones on the passenger side.
So I swapped one for one but did I put them in the right place?
I think I stuck them (the fat ones) on the side with the brake adjuster.
Can someone please tell me which goes where?
Also, if I only removed the wheel cylinders do I need to bleed all those other places as well?

Thanks in advance.

Peter

The shoes with the longer friction material (i.e. wraps more of the shoe) goes on the rear on both sides. This is due to the axle rotation and the pivot point being fixed at the top.
