Air Lift Company

Has any one used the air lift company air bags? I was just wondering because it looks like they mount on top of the leaf springs, and that is the type of bags I am looking for (air bag over the leaf springs)

I've had the Air Lift brand bags since '02 and no complaints here.
Good bags IMO, and yes they sit on top the leafs, but I believe with your 3rd gen either both brands or just the Ride Rites can go on the axle tube inboard of the leaf pack.

I've had "Air Lift" bags on my trucks since 96 and never had any problem.
They do mount inboard of the spring pack on the 06.
I've heard that firestone makes all the bags for different kits but not sure if that's true.

I think that that is a great idea, but these kits are BIG $$$$$. Kelderman makes some fine stuff, but get ready to fork over some cash. You can check out some cool trucks on their website at www.keldermanairride.com

On my Ford Superduty Western Hauler I have the Air Lift system with on board compressor for in the cab inflate/deflate capabilities. I had the kit put on the truck when it was new, so it has been in service for 4+ years without any type of problem. One thing to think about - with all the crazy people out there it would be my luck to have a truck with just air bags for the suspension and someone think it was funny to stick a knife through a bag. At least with the leaf spring/air bag set up you can "limp along" if you loose one of your air bags.

You can't mount them on top of the leaf springs because that would mean you would have to drill and bolt the upper bracket to the Hydro-formed frame,............... and that's a big .

Your gonna have to re-route the exhaust.

Why is the exhaust so close to the frame? The air bags come with a heat shield.
