04 3500 srw 9" lift? national spring company maybe?
right now have a 6" superlift installed and skycrapper control arms w/ drop pitman from a 5" skycrapper kit. running 325/70/17's plenty of clearence even tho my axle set's back a mere 1/2" in the front. i was cuurious if any one know's if national spring is any good?? they claim they will make me a (set) of front springs for the 9" inch lift for 350.00 that's what they said? and i would have the rears made also for it to set level when done. i have a set of BD 3" spacers just sitting around, and didn't want to add them on top of my front springs? kinda wanted the full spring. no micky mouse stuff. so i have mixed some suspention parts, i'm guilty for that. it rides so nice, just want 37's or 38's and WIDE.. beasty looking.. any help or advise would be appreciated..
im runnin 7" skyjacker coils with a 3" spacer in the front and 6" SJ 1 ton spring packs in the rear with a longer shackle and custom shackle hangers, sits about an inch of two lower in the rear, buts i dont mind. drives and rides just fine. only prob you will have is with your front driveline, i still havent ordered a reindexing ring, and some say i will still have probs with that. oh ya, custom long arms too. search under DJ gaston on here, go to his webpage and he knows it all.

rizzo,
I've heard good things about National spring. My buddy had them do a lot of work on his '67 Chevy and it worked out well. One thing though. If you are planning on a rear spring that arches enough to give you the lift you want with no spacers, your handling will suffer. It's better to go with a tall spacer and relatively straight springs like the first gens came with. At first glance it looks like a better deal to eliminate the spacers (like I did) but then while cornering the outer spring sets down and straightens out a little. This makes the outside wheel move back a little and is actually steering the rear of the truck to the outside of the turn. That sucks and feels like you are going to spin out in turns. I fixed it by going to a big rear sway bar, but a flatter spring would have been better. The stock first gens have a spring spacer about six inches high. It looks like a terrible thing but the trucks handle well.

On the contrary, I've heard nothing but bad about National in the last few years. IIRC, the owner retired and handed the company to his daughter, and it's been down hill ever since. Deteriorating quality and poor customer service.
I'd recommend Alcan or Atlas for custom leaf packs and Coil Spring Specialties for coils.
CSS quoted me roughly $300 for a 7" spring to MY spec's, with steel escalation and another 2" $350 is right in the ballpark.
