Will a better turbo cure this?

Right now with the mods in my sig I get really bad shuttering out of my stock turbo when I lay into her up to about 1700 rpm with the Juice on 5x5 with max low boost fueling. A better turbo is next with stage 5 Jammers to replace my stage 3's, do y'all figure a better turbo will shutter as well? What's a man to do here?

i would think you would need a turbo before bigger sticks but if you can swing it go with both

What kinda of boost #'s you pulling? EGT's? You smoking lots or hardly any? You can still rev past 1700 rpm's but with no power? How does the truck start? I didn't like my jammer 4's and they run hot for the small HP that they claim. Smoked lots too. Thats not you're problem, but its not helping the end result. How does the truck run with stock sticks?

You should have a HY turbo. Is it turn buckled?

I can hit 30 psi up high but when she shutters boost is around 18 or so. Big time smoke untill boost comes on. Does not happen at all if I turn off the box so my guess is that the turbo can't handle all that fuel at low boost? Never happened with stock sticks. Makes great power above 1700 rpm, it's just that I have to back off the pedal until she gets above 1700, EGT's not bad at all untill I'm close to 30 lbs and well over 2000 rpm for a few seconds. So what exactly causes shutter? Thanks y'all

You either have a boost leak, exhaust leak or turbo is roached. You should be hitting 40+ lbs no problem. How many miles on motor? Your turbo is probably on the verge of giving you its shaft

How does the truck start? Is the bottom end power off? You still on the original VP? You can pull 35psi out a stock HY truck. You might have to tell us more on what else is different. So the truck stumbles around 1700 rpm but after that it start to pull good to 30psi? Is this correct? Have you pull your codes yet? Sometimes map sensors do that, mine threw codes. Do you have a OBDII code scanner? Whats your idle fuel pressure? Sorry, Just trying help some.
