transmission problem
so i just had all the stuff in my sig installed into a brand new 47re. for the first time i tried to do a 4x4 launch. when i was building boost my boost gauge went from 15 down to 8 and then back up to 15 then down to 10 and when i launched it felt like first gear was slipping then when i let off and took it out of 4 wheel drive and slowed down to around 30mph it down shifts into second!?! is there a adjustment i might need to mess with? kickdown cable?

well i would call him but he is not open at this hour. thats why im on here asking you guys. its only first gear in 4 wheel drive that does it. does that mean my first gear is slipping or a cable adjustment. since its all new parts it shouldnt be slipping unless somethings out of adjustment right?

Your description of the up and down boost thing sounds like what my truck does, Mines from the Torque Management crap. if I plant the go pedal, it feels like the old 4barrel bog on a 350 chev, it would not be so bad if it did not do it a couple times in a row
...may not be your problem thou

Well it looks like your trans is pieced together with different brand name parts, and just a Goerend converter if I read your sig right. Seems like what your experiencing is the torque managment in the ECM is kicking in, because your new converter has tighter fluid coupling and wont let the engine rev enough to build boost before the ECM reads the limit of RPM to wheel speed while in drive. And when trying to build boost it fuels some, then defuels, and fuels again= boost going up and down. Then when you launch it it falls on it's face.
To solve your problem you need a BD RAD ( Racer Anti Defueler ) they are only required for the 01-02 dodges with the torque managment programed in the ECM.

ok thanks. so does everyone who drag races a 2000.5-2003 truck need one because this is the first ive heard of it being needed. i know a lot of people that have a truck like mine that can do boosted launches with no problem and dont have one of these.

I believe a smarty (programmer) will just about eliminate it. it can be stacked with your edge.
and I believe its only 01-02 (might not even be in all 02 models) someone else might chime in and comfirm
