stock truck question

what is the stock boost level on a 2000 4x4 24valvle with a auto? truck stock and looking for more performance. woundering what boost quage to get.
what is the best air intake system to run? stock box with KN or one of those aftermarket ones, man there is a bunch out there.

im hearing the scotty 2 or 3 system is the last air intake system you'll ever get...alot of guys run a BHAF (part numbers in tech section) cause its easily accesible and looks nice...there's all kinds of other ones too

If you are going to Bomb your truck get a 40 psi gauge and an aftermarket air box.
If you are to stay stock, get a 40 psi gauge and an AFE stock filter replacement, it'll still be OK if you add a little performance . Any performance mods EZ or injectors and the boost will be over 30 psi.
