I have a 98.5 24Valve with an edge ez and an adjustable boost elbow. i could only see about 22 psi max and i tried screwing the elbow all the way in to close the line on the waste gate.... nothing different. what should i do now, i cant hear any leaks and i was going to look for leaks this weekend. what else should i do??

With just the ez, you are about 4-5 psi low. What is your fuel pressure? EGT's?

That sounds a little high. Not much, maybe 100-150*. I would guess that you have a small boost leak. Here is a thread with a list of parts for making a pressure tester. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...ght=boost+leak It cost me about $15 for everything, but I also bought a pressure regulator.

Fuel pressure hasn't much to do with low boost. If the fuel pressure is low enough to affect boost you'll know it by how crumby the engine is running overall.

More than likely there is a boost leak somewhere.

Cruising egts don't really tell much either because to many factors can affect them. What are the egts at 22 lbs boost? If egts are normal at that boost level, then the waste gate can be stuck open, there's a problem with your boost guage, or it's perhaps not getting enough fuel. If the egts are high, you've got a leak.

well, if i have it hammered and its at 22psi of boost, my egt is between 1000-1100, depending on if im going into a head wind or wind at my back.
