1693 is a companoin code that comes along with ecm codes telling pcm there is an engine code.

Correct but there is still another code behind the 1693 that I don't know.

You'll need a scanner to read the cause of the 1693 code. I don't have a boost gauge, so I can't help you with boost numbers. I just monitor EGT, Trans, and FP.
