Yall did good,, although,, you need to work on the MPG part,, Maybe some more timing and smaller injectors (or smaller DV's).

You doubted it?

I would ask about warentte on these pumps for one thing,
the other is do you have the updated bracket on the pump??
if not,, it is broke and allowing your pump to vibrate,,...is about 40.00 from cummins.

UPDATE

here is a update for all you followers of this thread-

as of now i have nearly 40,000 miles on my p-pump and it has worked flawless, not one pump related problem has showed up ... on the other hand ,my clutch blew up ..and i mean BLEW UP ..i guess 195000 is pretty good for a stock one , but that was the only thing that has happen to me ( as a result of me not being scared to rev my motor ,for fear of blowing the vp44 )

WOW!!!

This thread went from "You are crazy, you can't do that for under 8 grand, its never going to work."

Then to:::

WOW, the conversion went great!!! It runs good, very reliable!!!

I have no skills at all... So...

If i can fire ring my head, change a vp in 2 hours, build a set of twins, R and R a tranny in 1 hour... Can I be a canidate for doing this conversion myself???

Might do this someday...

Glad to hear its working out for you!
