I got a great compliment yesterday.....

I pull into an auction and start loading cars. Another truck pulls in to load, a 98 1/2 c & c with a flatbed and three car trialer. After a few minutes he comes over and asks for some help. He had a camero that would not come out of park. I poped the bezel off the console and lifted the latch and took it out of park.

He says, I knew you could fix it. I had never met him before so asked him why he figured that. He says "the other day I was behind you empty, you had three cars going up Rose Hill on old 78. I couldn't keep up with you. I thought if you could make that truck go that good, you could fix about anything."

We talked a little, he looked at the engine, said I had it goin down the road. Made me smile...

A comment like that just makes you feel good about the work you put into the truck and makes you feel good about yourself. Glad to know there are still good people out there.

I pulled a float in a parade last Saturday and I got more compliments on the truck than we did the float.

I agree with Geico266. After reading all the posts of Bills in the last year. with all his troubles truck related & otherwise. I'd say bill could fix just about anything & you have to respect a man who can overcome the trials & tribulations.

My hats off to you Bill.

You know some times even the simplest comments comments are great.

I had someone who did not know anything about diesels stop and genuinely tell me, "You truck sounds really good."

My compliment was lame compared to HID but it made me smile for weeks.

HID,

You must have great people in your area. Every time I outrun someone or something I never see them again, They seem to find a corner and turn rather than get up along side of me again. I guess in a way thats a compliment.
