Fuel Pressure and FASS system
Fuel Pressure and FASS system
I have 2 Holley Blue fuel pumps and they are grossly insufficient, even with my truck on fuel saver mode it drops to 0 fuel pressure WOT. I was thinking about getting a FASS system. Would this give me all the pressure I need? or do I need to replace the fuel lines with bigger ones, add a draw straw etc...? Thanks in advance, A.Wall
Which one is recommended? I have heard a lot about the FASS and that it is a great system, havent heard much about Airdog. Would leaving one of the Holleys help anything?, hurt?
If you get a FASS or Airdog you would remove both pumps you currently have. I say FASS or Airdog because I believe they are both a very similar design. Don't quote me but I believe one company is owned by the father(original design) and one is owned by the son. I think the two gentleman were once in business together but got a divorce and now you have two companies. I think that is a very short version of the story but don't quote me. Either way you go they are a good piece of equipment.

Oh you mean that with a draw straw the water is taken out? I have run millions of miles with a bottom feed and have one dodge with bottom feed, bottom feed protects you from water building in the tank and causing a major water problem. You have filters for this purpose, especially on a FASS.
Youll be fine with the FASS 150 you mentioned Awall, No need to go any bigger unless your turning it into a comp truck.
The FASS 150 or Airdog 165 would be plenty for all your needs IMO.
I see 20 psi at idle and 13 psi FP at WOT with my FASS.
