Not sure about the newer ones but the Jacobs works well with the cruise on my 99. It has the two second delay to allow time for shifting. No microswitches or any of that junk to mess with. I set the cruise to what I want and pull the switch to the on position and set back. Drove all the way down the Skyline Drive at 38 mph with the cruise and the jake on, never touched the pedals once, just took in the sights. Has around 100000 miles on it now with absolutely no problems. I just posted pics in the Jacobs thread on how I mounted the master and the gear shift cut out switch.
