allison automatic swap anyone?

has anyone in here ever heard of somebody swapping the dodge auto for an allison with overdrive? i am in the process of gathering stuff to do another ford cummins 5.9 swap into a 1/2 ton and i would really like to use an allison auto with overdrive. alredy have the engine, radiator, motor mounts. just wondering about the allison. i know they use them in small freightliners and kenworths. hopefully one that has no electronic control to keep it simple.

The only electronics are for the speed sensor........I would'nt put one behind a 8.3. Have you thought about using a 47 RH??

Just reread your post.....The bell for a 8.3 may bolt on to a 5.9, but the 8.3 uses a way bigger flywheel/flex plate and starter.

Do you think a 47 is better than a 545?
