500 HP guys $$$

I'm interested in knowing how much money it costs to get 500 HP out of our 12 valves. I have seen alot of posts on how but no one has really said how much. Thanks.

It wont be as easy to get it out of a 180 pump like you can a 215, but doable

I also picked up a Snow Performance Stage 2 on Ebay (listed incorrectly) for $202.50 and that put another 63hp to the rollers on 50/50.

I'm lookin to stay with a single turbo to keep the price down. How much is port and Oring at Scheids? Studs? Inectors? It's lookin like I'm gonna have more in parts then I paid for the truck if a get a tranny and TC to hold the power.

500hp should be very possible w/ a 180. Dont underestimate the 180s. Theyre just as good of a pump IMO, and some people actually prefer the 180 over the 215.

You will need at the very minimum, a good TC and Valve Body to hold the power, considering your stock trans is in good shape. A quality port/polish job will vary in price depending on how much work is done. I had my head ported at a local machine shop. They did pretty much everything they could without cutting off the intake plenum. It cost me $1500 to get my head decked, ported, 3 angle valve job, and oringed.

Not under estimating the 180 pumps but you just really need to understand and know how to have them setup and tuned right, and not just throwing parts in, thats all

What are you going to do with the 47RE when you get 500hp? At 500 hp you will need converter, valve body, billet shafts. You will spend more on the tranny to handle 500hp than you will spend to get the 500hp
