315's
I just put some 315/75/16 Cooper Discoverer STT's on my truck today. I love them, makes the truck look SO much better. Funny thing is, they don't rub. I have been making real sharp turns to see if they will rub and they aren't rubbing. I was gonna get a leveling kit to prevent rubbing, but they ain't rubbing so I ain't gonna level it out. I like the factory stance too much to level it. I'll try to get some pics up later today.

AFAIK, the 2" leveling Kit does nothing to reduce the rubbing... so it's good you didn't, if you don't like it anyway

The rub is on the control arm, and levelling isn't going to fix that. I levelled mine for looks only, and another 1" of bounce in the front suspension (bottoms less)
EDIT: also keep in mind that 315s from different manufacturers can be pretty different in size. Some are a full 35", some are only 34.4". Not every maker measures in the exact same spot or has the same dimensions, even within the "same" size.
Just look at different models of tire in a given size, and you'll see that the rev's mile can vary a lot. For 315s, some are down to 597, some as high as 603.
5 revs/mile is not an insignificant variance, imo-- and might be the difference between rub and no rub.

my tires are more or less a 35, they are a 325/50/R22 Toyo Open Country AT, but because they are so wide with my 22"s they do rub the control arms, but i had 35x12.50 R17 Toyo Open Country MT's and they didnt rub at all.

I just looked at the Cooper Tire website and they said that they are 34.47 in tall. The tread width is 9.8 in. 8 ply. The tires look good and all but the truck doesn't drive as good. The steering isn't as quick, it wants wonder more, and it feels like there is more play in the steering. Something to keep in mind if you are wanting to get 315's.
I did get a killer deal on them though. I got those tires for $160 a piece. The total was $640. That's mounted, balanced, lifetime road hazard. Thats an everyday, anybody price also. I've searched around to see what other shops were selling them for and they wanted up near $900. If anybody is in the Central Missouri area, I highly recommend WW Discount Tire in Lebanon. He is by far the cheapest around. I've bought many sets of tires from there.

Nice price though.... I'm sure you can make them work as long as your not towing heavy!

If his tread width is 9.8 than his tires are 35x12.5. The 12.5 measurement is taken at the widest portion of the tire, which would be the bubble between the tread and the rim.

How do you like the Coopers?
I will be looking for some new tires to replace my ProComp M/Ts here sometime
I am thinking of getting some snow tires on stock rims. Thinkin studded Cooper S/Ts or General Grabber A/Ts. And maybe STTs for my nice rims or BFG MTs, Baja MTZs or Dick Cepek M/Ts.

So far I love my coopers. They aren't real loud on the highway and the tread pattern is simply awesome looking. I never go "4-wheeling" with my truck, so I wouldn't know how they are off road. I've seen them before on my buddies trucks but they were only 285's. With 315's they look so much better. I've been pretty busy lately so I haven't been able to get any pics up. But I will try to get some up as soon as I can.

To be expected. I agree, the tread is sharp looking. If I didn't spend so much time on the Hwy...I'd do the same.
Only a 4x4 CTD can make a 35" tire look just right. Nice!
