My brother's truck has 315/75/16 and we put them on the stock rims. Its a PSD tho. But now he has 37/13.50/16.5 Military Tires.
SD03

I think a 6.5 inch wide rim is a bit narrow for those tires.

The tires are at least 11 inches wide at the tread, more at the "bulge", and most manufactureres reccomend a 9 inch rim for them.

I put them on 10 inch rims and IMHO that is the perfect width for them.

phox

Yeah, most tire manufacturers specify no more than 4 inches difference between tire width and rim width. You're looking at 5.5 or 6 inch difference, which will make your tires wear faster.

What year is the truck? Not sure which year they started, but the '02 steel wheels are 7.5" wide.

I ran those tires on my 99 2500 for three years. Never had a problem. I used the stock rims. The aftermarket rims the tire place had made the tires rub.
