I work part-time for Winston Rosthchild Sewage and Septic and seasonal for Dale's Dead Bug; neither pays very well.

My advice is to be careful who you marry.

You can marry more in five minutes than you can work out in three lifetimes.
Here is some good advise

Interesting seeing what everyone does around here.

Me I used to design homes for a living. I went back to school five years ago and now have a BS in Civil Engineering. Im currently finishing up my MS in Civil as well and enjoying getting paid to do research. Im just hoping there's a job for me come next May! Sheesh I'll be 31 and need to support the family somehow. Where's that stimulus package now 'Bama? Or I could just keep the wife working and stay home with my boy and play all day.

Good luck with the job search.

I'm a wildlife biologist. Been kinda rough for someone new to get their foot in the door last few years, but there's more doors opening now. Lot of people in this field hitting retirement age. Doesn't pay the greatest, but I generally enjoy going to work.

I'm a full time dad, real-estate baron, and a part time Bicycle mechanic. We do high end and lower end stuff, I do repairs and overhauls. It is a good flexible job that allows me to be a devoted father to my boys. My bosses like my work so I get to be a dad first and a tech second. I have a diploma in ready..."electro-mechanical engineering technician- robotics, which is to say an industrial technician...
What can I say, my wife makes the money she's a fire-fighter for the city and makes me proud everyday.
oh yeah building a cottage this fall, more like a house.

Went to college and got a BS in Agribusiness then came home to grow corn and soybeans. Some years are good, some are not as good. It lets me play with my trucks now and then.

Same in the Water Treatment and Sanitation industry. Im going to school for Water Quality Management (got tired of turning wrenches). Working toward an Associate of Applied Science. So far so good on job opportunities/availablility. Hope thats still the case when I start job hunting this winter.
