Law enforcement. Great job, you get to help people and its always something different everyday. And everyday is a reminder that no matter how bad of a day you are having or think your life is you WILL meet someone worse off.

The best job in the world is one that you love so much, you can't believe you are actually getting paid to work.

Diesel mechanic, between 3 of us we maintain 60 tractor/trailers. Thats what I call job security.

I actually look forward to waking up and going to work. Something I can't say about some of my past jobs.

Helicoper Mechanic / Pilot here... My job takes me all over the place, some great, some not so great but always a lot of fun! Can't see myself doing anything else! Used to be a truck driver and equipment operator though I still do that here and there when I get bored...

Still don't have a clue what i want to do, I live and work on our worthless family dairy farm and mow grass on the side but I've been looking at oilfield jobs. I'm 22 and would like to find something stable with decent pay so i could buy a house someday.

I am 24 years old. switched trades 3 times so far.

during high school I was working with my father Installing refinishing hard wood flooring, Amazing pay however the dust is killer, your knees, back and toes are shot by the time you are 40. was doing that over the summer making some decent coin.

Started college For automotive technician, graduated. worked for a bit. Went back to school for motorcycle and powersports repair. became a certified yamaha tech. worked in a small engien lawn and garden shop. go screwed around with my apprentichip. quit went back to work on cars again.
Was with Cadillac for a year and ahalf and same thing got pushed around with empty promises and left there and now im working on corvettes and being trained as a diesel tech, going back to school on the 31st for General Motors modified apprentichip program and hopefully in 2 year I'll be licensed.

However im also debating about opening a restaraunt now that i found my new passion for cooking.

I am a 28 year old civil engineer, i currently dont like what i do and hate the management or mis-management of my firm and our assets. i plan on going back to school for either a Masters in Civil or something else as this isnt cutting it for me granted the pay is good but not enought to really offset the 350 bucks a month i pay in student loans. If you ever figure out what you want to do make sure you ask a lot of questions at the interview regarding how the company is run, what their expectations are for you and where they see you within the company in five years, 10 and so on. i think i would like what i do more if i worked in a better more professionally nurturing environment. That said i like the montra do what you love and you never work a day in your life. and i have been workin hard as of late. good luck in your search.
