when they started the GMD here they cleared about 1200 acres...and by clearing I mean all that is there is the material left from the glaciers, just a rock and sand pad about 2 miles square...Well a 3 star general came up for an inspection a few yrs. ago, and when he stepped out of the car a nice gust of about 60+ hit and ripped the door almost off his car an pelted him with 1"-...He went ballistic and the next week they had Hydoseeders out on the field spraying seed...There are 3-5 days a year where construction is halted because of wind...And that doesn't include light 35 mph winds suspending crane work...
