Question Pressure Gauge Question

Can a mechanical 0-200 PSI oil-pressure gauge be used for an in-dash on-board air-pressure gauge??

Thanks.

You bet you can....a bourdon tube is a bourdon tube - the internals are all the same whether its measuring air, oil, diesel or anything else for that matter. 200 psi is 200 psi - it will work fine for you.

Except in Canada, then it's 90.91 kgcm²

The only other worry is with the connections.
does your oil gauge have an npt connection like most air connections have?

Ya but we only do that so that we can convert it back to imperial measurements
so we know what we are doing.

Thank you so very much.

Now, if I can just figure a way to neatly change the dial to say AIR, instead of OIL.
