Just happened to notice the following article. These PETA folks have no shame!

Vegetarian Virgin Mary ad riles Boston church

BOSTON (Reuters) - The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston on Tuesday demanded the removal of an animal rights group's billboard advertisement depicting the Virgin Mary cradling a lifeless chicken in her arms.

The ad by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals features the tagline "Go Vegetarian -- It's an Immaculate Conception," a reference to teachings about Mary's purity.

But the church said the billboard was "offensive at any time" and especially so during the Christmas season.

"Why any organization would seek to garner goodwill for itself and its message by promoting an ad campaign that is so offensive to a large number of people within the community is unclear," the archdiocese said in a statement.

"What is clear is that if PETA truly cares about ethical behavior, the billboard message should be taken down as soon as possible," it added.

PETA said it has no plans to take down the billboard in Boston.

PETA said a similar advertisement went up in Providence, Rhode Island, earlier this month but was quickly removed by the billboard's owner amid similar complaints from Catholics there.

This is what happens when you become so singularly one sided on an issue, you lose all concept of reality itself. This type of thing does not surprise me at all, after all we still have people in this country complaining we don't give Terrorists their due rights.

I feel sorry for these people, they have lost their perspective on what is important in life. Chickens are not worthy of anyone wasting this kind of money and time on them Deep fry em

NEWSFLASH! PETA kidnaps Santa's reindeer.

A spokeswoman says this will save them from the torture of flying
around the world pulling that fat elf. Christmas presents may
have to be cancelled.

I don’t know about these bunny huggers. I wonder if any of them own any leather products, like a nice pair of shoes, a purse, wallet or jacket. I bet they do. Can they conceptualize where leather comes from? Do they have a clue that leather is what the animal fur is attached to? Why aren't they just as indignant about leather as they are about fur? Pardon the sarcasm but that would require them to one, use logic and two, to be consistent. I don’t believe the radical environmentalists actually have the ability to use logic or think for themselves for that matter. Ok said my .02 worth time for someone else to step up on the soap box.

PS I saw this on a bumper sticker; it has to be a contender as one of the all time best.

EARTH FIRST We will log the other planets later.

Talking

I heard it a little different. I had it on the wall at work. In Green it said "EARTH FIRST" then in slightly smaller letters it said "We'll strip mine the rest of the planets later"
