Need astro van bellhousing.
I was wondering if anyone would know where a bellhousing is from a late 80"s Astro van with a 4.3 and a 5 speed t-5 tranny, I'm doing a 4.3 conversionon my 87 s10 4x4 and want to keep my stock t-5, any of my local junk yards don't have none..... I had a nv3500 all lined up to go in but it ended up being blown and the junk yards don't have one of those under $1,000!

Good question, Westcoaster.
The way the rules are written that would technically be spamming. However, unless mvanhelden complains about it (and why would he?) how would anybody know?
Simply posting "mvanhelden, PM me" would fall within the rules.

Yes found multiple matches on Car-Part.com but when i call they say, "well I don't think i do" and one guy i called down south said he had one but wanted $200 even tho it said a quarter of that price on the website, "Oh it must of been a mistake," he said, I just thought i'd give this forum a try to see if possible someone had one laying around, but I guess only 1500 astros came with the 4.3 t-5 combo, so it'll probably be hard to find one.

thanks for looking, there is not much info about them, I'm preety sure that the astro/gmc safari vans 85-89 were the only gm production vehicles to have the 4.3L hooked to the t-5 at a straight position, I may be wrong tho, the camaros did but the transmission is tilted to the drvers side, also i believe the regular 70's style bellhousing on gm trucks (*609) fit the t-5 but they had a manual clutch linkage and not hydraulic.

This wasn't what I was thinking of but it may be of assistance anyway....
It was on a 4wheel site. The guy had done up a post as to what engine bolt patterns would work with what bell housings. It was quite an impressive lineup. chev motors with jeep bell housings and toyota transmissions. It was enough to make your head spin
