It happened here in Salisbury PJ. I've been really taking it easy on the road, and looking at all the ford explorers I see, I think I'll know the one when I see it and can get a tag #. A friend of mine is a trooper, I'll just give it to him to pass along or whatever, too late to make much of case out of it now. It's impossible to get a ccw permit in MD, though I still have one from VA. They simply don't allow it, so the one in my truck is technically illegal, and I would be crazy to let on it was there unless I thought I might really be in trouble. I'd lose my business, have my whole life turned upside down for the sake of showing my barrel to a punk kid. The doors have those automatic locks, so I knew he wasn't getting in.

Crushing his front end with my bumper did come to mind actually, but I just have the factory bumpers on there, it would have messed up my truck. The nasty ol pintle hitch on there would have done a number on him though.

 

He took the wrong path and he knows it. I however do believe in fight before flight and the second he reached for the passenger handle with my Ol' lady sitting there he would have been representing to the reaper instead of his hommies. I have a zero tolernace policy for morons.

It is called "brandishing," is illegal everywhere as far as I know, and as soon as he even approached your truck you had every right to blow him to kingdom come.

The split second he showed that handgun in a threatening manner it should have been game over. Like someone said previously, you pull it, you better be using it. It is not a toy, but they think it is. That is one of the the big problems with gang violence and these young black guys killing each other. World would have been a better place if you had just capped his EDIT. Law would have been on your side, at least in CO I know it would. I would not have hesitated, just take a half second to clear my shot and BANG! He's gone. New window is cheap, relatively speaking.
