I am sorry that you live in a hoodlum type of area. I grew up in a gang infested area. I am glad I moved out of that crap.

It doesnt work that way in Indiana.

You have GOT to think about what to do BEFORE things like this happen. It's called self-defense. You have got to think before you act in a violent manner. When you saw 4 young males in a car driving crazy what do you think they were doing? Going to a choir practice?

Your first responsibility as a man is to protect your family, and yourself as the breadwinner of your family. You are not tasked with correcting the ills of society. That is what the POLICE are for.

Man, I'm not trying to pile on here, but you just as easy as I am typing this post could have been killed or your wife been killed.

No question in my mind. If someone pulled that stunt on me, they had better use it, because my response would be to shoot them, and claim self defence to the cops.

Moral of the story : You don't threaten with a gun. You either pull it to use it, or get shot. This is not negotiable... 'represent' ya, I would say that is a great way to get shot!

They let u have pistols in Canada?

hey brother i know exactly what your talking about. there are wackos all over and thats why im so glad that texas offers the right to arm yourself with a concealed handgun liscense. it gives you a peace of mind to know that if that situation occurs atleast youll have a chance to protect yourself, the ones you love and others if needed. the law as told to me by a county sheriff is that you have the right to protect yourself, your property and that of others with the use of deadly force if necessary.

as for the fact your wife was in the truck, crap happens at the worst time. thank god she wanst driving by herself and they did that to her. and in the same situation i would have reacted in a similar manor. dont let people beat ya up over it. they wernt there. but im sure it would have been nice to knock the crap outta them if you have a big replacement bumper ya know what i mean.

im not trying to sound bad or make anyone mad, but when someone is on your rear and causing a fuss behind me and cussing and threatening me, im not on the phone with the police, im concentrating on getting outta the situation or facing it. and if those thugs see you on the phone what do you think they are going to do. slow down, do the speed limit and say sorry? i think not.

so for such a long post. be safe

I had a similar situation a few months ago.. Some yahoo came down the off ramp lane then onto the shoulder and tried to cut me off.. I blew my horn (big air horns).. and I guess it ****** him off... first he stopped on the freeway in front of me and opened his door to get out... I went around him on the shoulder.. then he chased me down and tried to get next to me... eventually because of LA traffic he did get next to me and tried to provoke a fight.. I just got off the next off ramp to get away from him.. Well here is the moral of the story.. Then entire time he didn't know it but there was a gin pointed at him waiting for him to do something stupid.. it was just below the window.

I had to make a decision.. do I stay and win this battle or just get off the freeway and remove myself from the situation.. I chose the latter.. In this situation if I had to I would have shot.. but the surrounding circumstances would have made it a very questionable shooting due to the many innocent people around me..

Other than provoking it in the first place you did EXACTLY WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE... REMOVED YOURSELF FORM THE SITUATION...!!!!

you as a CCW holder are just Joe Citizen with a gun.. If you use it you open yourself to both criminal and civil litigation.. basically every bullet shot is a million dollar bullet.. to the person being shot at .. and don't forget their family..

Don't get me wrong you HAVE TO PROTECT YOURSELF.. but sometimes the best protection is not getting into a shoot out but getting away...

best thing would have been to get a license number and call 911.. they will chase him down if possible Because of the gun...
