DTR Prayer Requests
Folks I need some prayer power, my Bro in law was working in a shop in this cold and accidentally backed into a propane heater setting his clothes on fire. '
He is in the emergency room and they are getting ready to transfer him to a burn unit at a trauma center. Please remember Ron Sheppard in your prayers.

Prayer already said for Ron and to guide the hands and minds of the attending doctors and nurses. May his recovery be fast and complete.
Lary, please keep us posted on his progress.

Thank you everyone, the real danger now is infection as already stated but he is in the right place to help keep that from happening.
The Doctors say it is mainly second degree burns and that depending on how many skin grafts he may need they see reason to be very optimistic.
Once again I thank each and every one of you for your kindness.

Update: Docs decided after his 2nd scrub down that about a third of the burns are 3rd degree and he is in for a little longer row to hoe.....
The one thing that likely helped a lot is the fact that he is as hairy as a Grizzly bear and he was dressed in multiple layers. The hair helped hold the material off the skin creating a small buffer zone if even only for a few seconds....as did each individual layer.
He has to endure those twice a day scrub downs which no doubt are excruciating, but at least he is around to feel the pain.

Prayers to your brother in law. We just had a guy from town burned in that helicopter crash down in Seattle yesterday. Burns are horrible, horrible trauma.
I hate to admit I often forget to visit this thread enough to support those in need, could we get it in bold font on the "other" board whenever a new post arrives?
