Surgeon called me tonight. I'm fasting after 10 pm for achilles repair tomorrow with tendon transfer. Thats if nothing tragic occurs for someone else.

Update on Dave.

He is recovering nicely and looking a lot better, loss of appetite was part of it so he got pretty slim.

Outlook is good and he hopes to be back to work in 3-6 months.

Lary, what is the progress with your BIL that backed into a heater and got so badly burned?

 

Hey folks, we still don't have a decision from the court regarding the my grandson Hunter. We are hopeful the long delay, 5 months since we went to court, is a good thing but that's just wishful thinking since the fat lady hasn't sung yet. Please keep Hunter and the judge lifted up, we need Hunter back home in Alabama where he belongs. Thanks, Rick

Need some prayers for my cousin Andy. He was in a serious car accident this morning and is in the ICU with a 50/50 chance of making it. Bleeding in the brain and some broken bones. I'm not real good at it so I thank any of you that are.

 

Prayer done. I will continue to pray for him and your family.

OUCH. Does not sound good. I will be praying for him and the family. And, for your candid comment - - I commend you. Acknowledging something like this is the first step in learning how to do it well. It really helps when you are on good speaking terms with God when things like this happen. And, you also find it is extremely rewarding even when things are good. Now is a good time to start. God is able to do much more than we ever could imagine if we just trust Him.

Thanks guys. So far no change. I'm taking that as a good thing given the 50/50 prognosis. I'm not very church oriented but I do believe in God. I just feel closer to God in the woods or on the water. I also believe in the power of prayer which is why I asked for them. Ironically (?), Andy was on his way to church and took a corner too fast.
