Scotty,
Sorry about the loss. We are praying for the family for peace and understanding and that God will minister to them in their home. If your friend knew God, he is a lot happier today than he was yesterday. It is
still tough on those left behind, but we look up and prepare our position in God to join him sometime soon. The Bible says "absent from the body is present with the Lord" meaning our spirit goes to be with God. It is a lot happier and pleasant in Heaven than down here.

Praying for you also for peace and understanding.

Bob

Well said Bob. Scotty, it sounds like things went as well as they could considering the situation. It doesn't make it any easier for family and friends but your friends suffering was minimized, no more pain.

If y'all get a second lift up my pastor and his family. Vaughn lost his father last week in an automobile accident. I have no other details and he's not returning messages yet so I'm beginning to get worried about his mental health. He's got great faith but this is a real gut check. TIA, Rick

Rick, saw this last night but only replying now. Prayers were said as requested and praying again now for Vaughn and the family. May God's presence be strongly felt is this time of tragedy.

Thanks guys. I finally got a 2 sentence reply from him. I know they're devastated and struggling to make sense of this.

Not necessarily a prayer request but I've had a weird couple days. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer 6 weeks ago and had a mastectomy yesterday. The good news is that the surgery went well and the cancer does not seem to have spread. It seems that chemo will not be necessary. A better outcome than expected. Everyone involved is VERY grateful.

Today I had to have my favorite cat euthanized do to sudden acute kidney failure. He was the best cat a person could know. He was very much a member of our family. My wife and I will really miss him.

Not a prayer request? Of course it is! Prayers said for your mother, you and the rest of the family. Keep looking up and remember that prayer really does work. Hopefully all these sad and seemingly bad events will serve to draw everybody closer to God.

Yeah I suppose it was. Thank you for your prayers. It was a mix of great thankfulness and profound sorrow that has been a little hard to get my head around.
The Lord gives and the Lord takes.
Either way I appreciate your prayers. So does my Cousin Andy who was in the car accident.

Guys and gals, I need some prayers sent to my extended family in South Dakota. My wife's cousin lost her little girl last weekend to an awful accident. The family is still struggling to the how and why. We're all of faith and are struggling with such a senseless loss. Please include Jenny and her family in your prayers for unwavering faith and understanding God's greater plan.

Thank you, Kurt

Kurt, this kind of situation is very hard for everybody concerned. Yes, it does appear to be senseless, but God is still in control even though from our perspective there are times that nothing makes any sense. Hard as it is, we still need to keep looking up and believing. Prayers have been said for you, Jenny and the rest of the family.
