Question Correcting bad ride over washboards

Hi there..

We own a 2003 Dodge Quad cab Hemi 4x4. We would like to buy new 2500 Diesel. We test drove this truck and found when driving at 70 kms an hour, over washboards the truck bounced all over the gravel roads. Before we purchase..can anyone tell me if this can be corrected? We really like our Dodge 1500 and would lie to stick with Dodge. Please advise!!!!

The dodge 2500 has a really heavy duty suspention, and will pretty much always ride rough when not running with a full load. Chevy is really the only truck 3/4 or 1 ton that caters to people who want heavy duty AND smooth ride rigs.

Not trying to go against the site, but For what it sounds like you want a 2500HD Dmax would be the way to go. Cumminsis a great engine and has alot of potential, but out of the box cummins cant touch the Dmax and its quiet smooth ride.

SLOW DOWN. Stupid to be driving that fast on a washboard. I've never driven a vehicle that you didn't have to drive no more than 25-30mph (40-48km/h) on some of it, it was that bad.

He seems to be fine with in his 1500. To each his I say.
Either way the 2500 Dodge is going to ride rougher than the 1500.

Softer shocks with a larger diameter piston should help. From the factory the shocks leave much to be desired. They will, however, fit your Neon and perform flawlessly! Jes kiddin

I put a full replacement ranchhand rear bumper on mine and it smoothed the ride out a lot.

you could always let all the air out of the tires so the wheels don't have as far to travel
