My 1st Cummins
I just wanted say hello, I picked up my 1st 5.9 today in a 05 2500. Blue with chrome trim, Laramie edition, 4 speed auto tranny, 265 x 17s, bed liner B&W turn over Ball other then that its %100 stock. It was owned by a banker who must have been a neat freak everything on and in the truck looks like it rolled off the factory floor a week ago.
I have alot to learn and this forum seemed to have alot of members that have serious "know how".
From what I have read and Cummins owners I have talked with a cold air box and a 60-70 horse chip would be a good idea in addition to adding 5" pipes somewhere down the road. I hope to find some good advise from the members here.
It was 500 miles round trip to go get it but the Cummins impressed me with a solid 20.6 MPG on rolling hill roads and 22.5 on a 40 mile stretch threw the flat lands at 65MPH.

I can't really offer you any opinion about your question, (well, I COULD, but it ain't worth nuthin'!), but you should post it in the 3rd generation section. If you do, you'll get more responses than you'll know what to do with, not to mention you might make a few new friends!
NICE lookin' truck too!
