Hello,

Severe newbie from Central NJ here. My first cummins.

I just picked up a 1990 5speed w250 4x4. 142k and no rust.

It's totally stock now, but mods are on the horizon!

I'm really good with all of the hot mods for the VW TDI's, but I guess I have a learning curve ahead for the cummins.

From what I've read so far, I'm thinking of starting with the basics, pyro/boost meeters, retrofitting an intercooler, bigger exhaust, valve springs, and whatever the best inj pump tweaks might be. Any gurus near Central NJ willing to advise a newbie?
