FINALLY!!! MY 1ST-1ST GEN CTD...now with the questions

I really appreciate finding this website, and getting help from the members. I did lots of homework, and finally bought a truck last night. 1993 d-250 le, club cab, 5spd, 114k

before selling my car i want to start with the mods and updates, so it brings me to many questions, and im hoping you'ns can pick them off.

1. What is the cheapest place to find 1st gen parts. Such as exhaust, downpipe, fuel pins, gov's, etc.

2. Would a synthetic 10-30 or 5-40 be better in the getrag, or should i stick with 5w30?

3. How can I raise the front end a few inches to meet the rear?

4. Cheapest place to find Boost/Pyro guage?

5. I want to do the KDP. Is there a list of parts needed?

6. Wanna, where did you get the aluminum tubing/45's for your bhaf install?

7. My initial goal is 300hp/600tq, can this be done with pump mods, a better turbo housing, exhaust and bhaf, timing. or will i need to invest in injectors,dv's,etc?

ill think of more, just give me time. Thanks!!

1. rip rook, or http://www.dieselpro.net/dodge_1990-93.php

2. depends on the climate, anything synthetic would work great.

3. Moog 1ton heavy duty springs (part # ? do a search)

4. shop arround.

5. red locktite, piece of sheet metal, timing cover gasket kit (crank seal)

6. 4in exhaust tubing

7. need injectors, pump mods, better turbo, exhaust bhaf, timing

1. If you can find a Bosch pump shop near you they can get you the governor spring cheapest.

2. Stick with 5W-30 synth. The Getrag has bearing preload, not clearance, so it does not tolerate thick oil. If you find that it is hard to shift when the weather gets cold, go to Mobil 1 0W-30. Redline MTL is another option. It improves the shifting a lot, hot or cold. It works well in a "hot-rod" truck that doesn't tow, but it will make the trans get hotter than regular synthetic motor oil on a tow rig.

4. Jeg's or Summit probably.

5. Crank seal and timing case gasket if you are going to tab it. If you want to head over my way I'll jig it for ya.

6. http://www.airflo.com/ You could use PVC sewer pipe or exhaust tubing too. No need to get fancy.

7. If you want 300 HP you will need a turbo and injectors along with the tweaked pump. You'll get more than 600 foot pounds with that kind of HP on a 1st gen, look at the numbers in my signature.
