Stalls when put in drive or reverse

I already posted in another section but truck is an 06 Mega Cab automatic. Truck idles perfectly but when you go from neutral to drive or reverse it lunges forward or reverse and then dies. Kind of like when you stall a manual trans. DTT said they think it needs new injectors but I still think it has something to do with the converter? Maybe stuck locked up? please help!!!

Truck has superchips and bored out injecters.

are there any codes being set? if so what are they? try un-plugging the connector for the fan clutch
K24612402
Vehicle Issue MIL. P2509. The engine may stumble or stall out.;12 volt power (unswitched) and the ground circuits to the ECM are good. Batteries and charging system operation are good. If applicable (2006 and 2007 MY trucks), the ECM has already been updated per TSB 18-001-07.
System or Component Die out / Stall,Hesitation / Sag / Stumble;DTC / Error Message;ECM
Recommendation If the problem can be duplicated, disconnect the fan clutch 6-way connector and check if the concern still occurs. If the problem no longer occurs, replace the fan clutch assembly.

If the converter went out would it throw metal into the tranny or would it stay self contained?

If the tc took a dump, you would need to get the tranny flushed properly, along with the coolers and lines. valve body should be checked. Missing any steps would probably waste your time and money.

I had two 2500's CTD come into shop this month with same problem. Dropped pan no metal found but did flush coolers and replaced torque converter. Under warranty of course.
