Smile power steering leak

So my power steering is leaking pretty bad I looked under and had my friend turn the wheel and I could see it pour from underneath the power steering pulley I think it might be leaking from somewhere else and dripping from there...could it be a seal or do I have to change the power steering pump? Appreciate any help

sounds like your vacuum pump is leaking. It's a very common problem.

It's connected to the back of the PS pump.

Does the cap of the reservoir pop (release pressure) when you take it off?

I'm a 2nd Gen guy and I could be wrong, but I didn't think the 3rd Gen trucks used a vacuum pump?

The third gens. have an electric vac. pump that's mounted up on the pass. side firewall. I've seen more than one ps pump in that year leak like a sieve.
