changed fuel filter, won't start SOLVED

followed instructions on this site http://wiki.dieseltruckresource.com/..._Filter_Change
Bumped starter a few times, started it, it ran for 5-10 seconds and quit. I've bumped it a few more times, made sure there's fuel in canister (I opened valve and it came out at good pressure) Bumped it some more and it won't start.
I wish changing fuel filter was easier than this, this is frustrating.

You should do it 2-3 time to purge the air you might need to open 3 injector lines ,have a helper crank on it as you close the injector lines one at a time as it starts , I usually open the 3 easyest

Good news! Did you have to open the injector lines?
I always fill the filter with fuel before installing it. Never had any starting problems.

Sounds like your transfer pump is going out. Min fuel vol is 45OZ @ 25 sec. If below this amount replace the pump.
