If I tried that, it would hit 4k pretty easy. I shift around 3k, and it takes time for the dual disc to slow down to get into the next gear. Especially bad shifting into third. Back when I had a single disc, it was better, but still wasn't the fastest shifting tranny. I hope after the rebuild it will be faster.

I drive mine in city traffic quite a bit, and I wouldn't give up the 5 spd for an auto at anytime. Sounds too good going through the gears.
