'Sittin at a lite in traffic jam in my old 84 f-250 diesel-no turbo. Heard a honk from behind and a lady obviously annoyed held her nose and pointed toward my tailpipe. I couldn't resist...held it on the governor for about two seconds and you couldn't see anything but black for a long time because there was no wind that day. Finally just as the traffic moved I saw her holding a pad in plain site writing my Lic # down.

'Bout a month later I got a note from the EPA or someone saying I was reported as having an "excessively smoking vehicle". So I replied informing them it was a diesel and to get over it.

 

Yea shovelhead, i read that be4.....i know i know....but this is the little bit of fun i get to have on this site...

Got a ricer..

Autozone, i was gettin a replacement belt and had just picked up the batteries from sears an hour before, for the truck, it was given me problems, needless to say i was afraid to cut the truck off, so i went in, and parked where i could see it, left the keys in the ignition and went in to get my fan belt, i was keepin a close eye on the truck, then some fart can muffled a hole comes up and parks next to it, and revs it up and down, mind you he is so low to the ground he cannot see that im payin for my belt i the counter, and no one is in the truck, anyhoos he keeps on and on, and no one gets outta the car, i dont recognize anyone in there, so i pick my shot, as the passenger gets outta the car and comes in the driver stays in on the cellular phone yackin away, wearing shades (mind you its dark already) and is a sittin duck, i walk out and he dont notice me, i get in the truck and drop it in reverse, and well the right foot slipped and the clutch was never let out, nor was the parking brake released.... Needless to say his conversation was ruined.... surely he did nuttin to me, just he shouldnt have revd at an empty truck, thats like firin a gun without any bullets..

I finally get to join the club. I was sitting at a light with my windows down enjoying the day. I look over and this yard guy is blowing leafs off the sidewalk. No big deal. Well, the sucker starts blowing them straight into my window. I got mad cause I just washed/waxed/detailed the truck. So I turn the comp on 5x5 and stand on it. When I look back, the guy is trying to wave the smoke away. I guess that'll make him think twice before he starts blowing leaves into some one else's truck.

As you know I am from southern california, a place filled with anything and everything but diesel trucks. On my way home tonight on the freeway (405 north near santa monica) I saw what looked like a white ext cab lifted/decaled cummins 4X4 2nd gen truck... I pulled up and past it on the left, noticed the words "Baja Bomber" on the door and then proceeded to roll out a nice smokey haze right in his grill to see what he would do. WEEEEEEEEELLL first chance he gets he scoots up in traffic and I see him in my rear view so as a good sport I pull to the right and let him pass. Read: --------> BAD DECISION! HE slowly pulled by and then I heard the cummins come to life and his DTT tranny (saw the DTT sticker in his window) downshift and he was rolling a haze of smoke as he cut in front of me. I was covered in soot for once in my life!! Anyway I was tailing him, playing a little cat and mouse the whole way home before I left off my exit. Then as I was exiting I looked over and saw him lay out a HUGE thick black cloud (bigger than he did for me) to the unsuspecting california drivers, as a send off, I'm sure ... Anyway I was real excited to see someone else who understood the whole diesel thing down here. It was a blast, I guess I needed to get sooted back for all those times I've one sidedly sooted up brand new hummer H2's and hondas with john kerry/ ACLU bumper stickers rflol.

 

 

Glad to know I'm not the only one that looks for Kerry bumperstickers as targets. I like nailing the folks on the starting line. The ones that have seen it run before usually start backing up when they see me pull into the lanes but the newbies get hammered.

About a year ago DTR got together with one of the offroad magazines (sorry, I can't remember which one it was, 4Wheeler maybe?) and built a truck to take on Baja.

DTT jumped in as a sponsor, KORE suspension (under a different name at the time I think though), Scotty and Wildcat Diesel (R.I.P.) threw in a Scotty II among other things, and many others.

They unveiled the truck at May Madness last year in Vegas.

You could probably do a search and find out anything I missed, or mis reported.

I was at the place we all hang out at on the weekends, and some dude was going like 2mph around the place(a shopping center) in this 4 runner just to make people mad. I had followed him long enough. I shot through the parking lot, and pulled out in front of him, and let it hit 2nd, and let the mystery switch do its thing. She lugged down to about 1k rpms, and i let him have it all the way through 2nd gear seeing as i didnt want to go to fast. I feel he got what he deserves. He drives a stock D-Max, and thinks its the baddest thing on the road. I guess the 4 runner was his girlfriends or something, and he was just trying to cause trouble; but he got what he deserved.

Sigh.. he got it easy..

I got a ticket at school yesterday. I went to do some labwork early on, and there was a white civic parked at my tailpipe.. There was no intentional smoke here. I fired up the truck and cranked and it missed, it didnt start.. didnt get on the pedal enough... So i fired it again got on it a lil more.. and it started.. i know it bellows out smoke when i do that. i left to a whataburger and got something to eat. and i came back to the campus... i parked far away from that spot i was parked at, and i see the gal in the civic come up to me... She says you were parked right next to me, why is my car full of this stuff? Needless to say all i can say is sorry and she says well im sorry to you, i called the pd as i saw your truck coming up.. *INSERT your cuss word here* ok i was ticked off..... sure enough i cannot leave now.. The guy asks why did you do that? i told him it was unintentional and that it smokes when it starts.. Needless to say to make a long story short 15 dollar ticket.. But the gal felt bad afterwards.. she offered to take me to eat, in exchange for me payin the ticket.. i was in like what? We became friends, nice girl.. I was gonna really let her have it another day but ill let her go.. Still its a 15 dollar fine.. well the dinner was 32 bucks on her so, i guess its ok...
