Smoke Stories?
last week i finally had a nice day to test my clutch so when i pulled up to a stop light with nothing in front of me i mashed it slamming the gears and leaving a cloud of smoke for a half mile. the problem was what was behind me i work at honda and so did the 20 cars behind me at the light. anyway when i looked in the rear view there was a newer chevy gasser TRYING to catch me. when we pulled in to the entrance wich is 2 lanes for about a half mile he pulled up next to me and told me i better not blow that [edited] all over his truck again and proceeded to cuss me out. so after i told him what i thought of him and showed him the number one sign i accelerated got in front of him slowed down, put it in 5th at 35mph and mashed it
. so when i finally parked he drove past me and parked on the other side of the parking lot and haven't heard a word from him again

He Blew Smoke, I Blew Past
Here's my smoke story....sort of.
Yesterday evening my wife and I needed to make a run to Toys R Us to return a broken toy. On the way, in the lane to my left and 4-5 car lengths in front of me, we were gaining ground on a 3rd Gen Dodge dually....bright yellow in color. His windows were tinted very dark with some sort of graphic on them and he had a 6 inch exhaust tip. I suspect he was straight piped because I could hear his exhaust as we began to gain ground on him.
As I closed the gap between us (going approximately 35 mph), suddenly a big cloud of smoke blew out his pipe. It was one of those intersection blocking clouds and it completely engulfed the little car who was following him. It also clouded my lane, but not enough that I couldn't see. Believing the smoke was meant for me, I applied a little bit of throttle and easily blew around him and his cloud of smoke.
Bottom line....he blew smoke, I blew past. I guess he had one of those "his bark is worse than his bite" kind of trucks. Or...hehehe....he was just blowing smoke out of his backside.
I just wonder how many of you guys are just blowing smoke??

Not true!
You can get it to smoke heavily for under 500 dollars. Wether or not all the power gets to the wheels or not is a different story. You can easily make 400whp on a 3rd gen with a single box (bullydog downloader, xzillerator, maybe mp8?) and have some smoke

My favorite smokin of mine and probably my dumbest, happened just last week. Driving home from school with my ridin mower in the bed, couldn't see out the rearview cuz of the mower. Started up a hill after the RR tracks in 4th at about 35. Next thing I know I'm gettin pulled over. Asked him what I did since I wasn't speeding, he then explained to me how my truck "obscured his vision". Anyway, he let me off with a warning since it was an honest mistake and he was mechanically competent enough for me to explain how I can prevent it from smokin by driving differently. Needless to say, I watch my mirror even more carefully now.
