Sorry I don't have any helpful comments but I will relate a similar anecdote. It could have been worse.
A farmer near me had a lifted K-10 Blazer for sale sitting in his front pasture. He also had sheep in this pasture. In less than a week they ate the fender flares, the rubber strips off the bumper guards, the fuel lines, and the brake hoses, and they were gnawing on the tires. Your Jack is a mere amateur!

A couple of years ago in Utah a sheriff started getting reports that someone was cutting brake lines on RVs up near Fish Lake. A couple of motorhomes and tow vehicles crashed at a result. After a full investigation stumped law enforcement, someone finally caught a porcupine in the act of chewing through the brake lines. I guess he like the taste of brake fluid or something.

I parked my Caterpillar for the winter in pasture with about 400 head of cows.
When I came back in the spring they had licked all the yellow paint they could reach down to bare metal.
This was an older Cat, no doubt it was lead based paint.
Don't think I'd want any of those burgers.

That's funny. I went to work part time hauling crushed cars a couple years ago. The first few days I did some work around the boss' personal place. He had several trailers parked in the pasture and wanted myself and another employee to move them to the parking yard. We got to checking them and the dang cows ate ALL the rubber hub plugs off the oiled hubs!
