Aux Tank Selector Valve

I have a 40 gallon auxillary tank to install in the bed of my truck. The PO disconnected the Pollack valve and removed the tank and I want to reinstall it with a manual valve. Can someone point me to a valve which will let me use both feed and return lines for the two tanks and switch the gauge sender wires at the same time?

valve

standard electric has an electric valve that works good, use it with a double pole, double throw switch, to control the gauge on one side, and the valve on the other. i can get the standard part number if you like, any automotive parts store can get them, napa being more expensive, for the same part, joe. ps, early '80s chevys, used a floor controlled manual valve, not dependable due to leaking.

I went with manual valves - one for fuel the other return. They were installed 8 years ago and went through a "T" bone accident - no leaks. I was stranded in a gasser with an electric valve when I switched tanks and the guage read the full tank but the tank didn't switch.

If you are interested I will get the manual valve P/Ns and post them for you.

Manual valves here as well. Much more reliable. My bed tank holds 50 gallons and usually lasts over a month when I'm running off that depending on how much I'm driving the '91, so it's no big deal switching manually every once in awhile.

Thanks for the replys. If I understand, I need one valve for the tanks fuel delivery line and one valve for the returns. Also an electric double pole switch for the fuel senders. Sorry to sound unsure, its just a little hazy. A diagram would help if you would be so kind.

switch

if you go with the electric valve, use double pole, double throw, manual valve use single pole, double throw
