hi to all..and yes i new to this fourm ..And all i can say is my day is finaly here..I've been wanting a dodge dieles truck for like 7 years now..I've owend mostly older chevy trucks,not saying nothing anything is wrong with chevs but it was time that i need of some serious torque..
Can any own tell me what the real number of torque and hp is for the 97 year? Also is there a diffrence in the 97 and 98 model..And last of all whats some things i need to check on befor i start doing some mods to it..Thanks To all...

Thanks for the heads up...So is this just a pin thats known to get lose and just fall out..And for the step by step pic's that was posted it looks like all he did was hammer the pin in?Is thats the main thing hammering the pin all the way in so it wont fall out?

No, you have to tab it. The picture after the pin has been hammered in shows a washer is placed over the pin to keep it from working its way out in the future.

Congrats on your truck, the 97s are highly desired. Can ya tell us a little more about what its got? Enjoy!
Welcome! 1997 is a great year. Check out: www.dodgeram.org for lots of good info. You're running 180 hp and 425 ft-lbs. torque. But that's with a detuned stock motor. You can easily gain a lot more! Automatic tranny is the weak link though. Gonna have to fix that up before any major mods.
