question about the labeling of off-road diesel

ok so i was working over in AL and i'm headin back to GA and my light comes on.... i see a gas station up ahead so i guess since it's the only one around i'd stop.... diesel 2.69 offroad 2.21.... i pull up to the pumps and it's raining.... look out my windows and look at the pumps one has red stickers on it and the other has blue stickers on it.... i pull up to the blue stickered pump and begin fueling.... now these were old pumps... clowdy glass and the stickers were even cracked up almost beond being readable.... so as i'm topping off the tank i notice that it's died fuel...... RED FUEL IN A BLUE STICKERED PUMP so that's when i tried to figure out what the sticker said..... blue said offroad fuel yada yada yada sulfer yada penalty.... so i go inside to pay.... the lady made it a point to let me know i bought offroad so i played it dumb.... i said " mam' i pumped diesel from the blue pump cause' the red one is for offroad. that's why the sticker is red... for the red fuel..." she said in a real sarcastic southern alabama draw " naw tha red un is fer rag-lar and that there blu un is fer off road.... YOU COULD HAVE READ IT AND KNOWN THE DIFFERENCE....." now i am not a person to take that from people like her (and i'm not picking on people from alabama in any shape form or fashion) so i dipped my head down and leaned over the counter and looked up at her and in a little over a wisper i said " mam' i can't read..." u should have seen her face..... she just started backpedaling saying " uh.. um... uh it'll be aight.... i won't say nuthin' ".......

so now that i'm off my soap box let's see if i can get a consencious here..... all i've seen in GA is red lettering and stickers on offroad fuel and green and blue on the taxed non dyed fuel..... am i correct on this?...

I've never seen any blue stickers before?

We have Green and Red.

Pretty simple up north.

Did you do that on purpose?

Green here, very rarely do you see a red, in fact I can only name 3 stations in a 50 mile radius that sell anything other than green.

We only have one, and that's in an infinate unknown radius. To tell you the truth, its far enough that we choose NOT to even drive up there anymore. Something funny happened back in the summer time. Somehow the difference between no tax and tax magically closed up some. Like, we were paying $1.70 for off road while paying $2.10 for #2, now for some reason the gap is more like $2.35 to $2.55? Makes me angry.

Guess they figured no one would notice? I DID! I would rather give our money to a local guy and just get the taxed stuff then drive into Delaware to save 20 cents.
It's only about 30 gallons a week, so............

Looks like there is about a 95% chance I would have had red in my truck.

I just pumped 75 Gallons of off road yesterday, the pump is plastered with stickers (all red by the way) telling you that you will be fined if you use it for "taxable" use. Can't miss which one is off road, not to mention it's way over in the corner with the KERO.

Most places around me don't even have off road use fuel and the ones that do have the pumps turned off and won't turn them on unless ask them first.
