Diesel Pump Labeling Rules to Take Effect June 1
Diesel Pump Labeling Rules to Take Effect June 1
FYI this came from our fleet leasing company:
EPA rules will take effect June 1, requiring fleets with in-house central refueling facilities to label their diesel pumps as either ultra-low-sulfur diesel (ULSD) or low-sulfur diesel (LSD). The labeling rules are part of EPA's ULSD rule that requires 80% of all diesel fuel refined after June 1 and sold after October 15 to have no more than 15 ppm sulfur. The ULSD is needed for lower-emission 2007 model truck engines to run properly. EPA developed the labeling requirements so that end users can distinguish between the two brands of fuel. Stiff penalties apply if a ULSD label is affixed to a pump dispensing fuel with more than 15 ppm sulfur.
The EPA labeling rules apply to retail establishments and to "wholesale purchaser-consumers", who are defined as "any person that is an ultimate consumer of....diesel fuel....and which purchases or obtains....diesel fuel.....from a supplier for use in motor vehicles....and......receives delivery of that product into a storage tank of at least 550-gallon capacity substantially under the control of that person."
For more information, go to: www.epa.gov/otaq/regs/fuels/diesel/diesel.htm To download labels, go to http://www.clean-diesel.org/highway.html

Fuel prices skyrocketing.. Around my area electricity has gone up 150%.. Water has even gone up something like 20%... school taxes still rising steadily... Not that I have to pay for anything but fuel right now (student) its a huge deal with my family, self-employed, own/ operate a Physical Therapy Clinic and a smaller 24hr type Fitness Center, From the looks of things electric will be a good chunk over a grand a month for the buisness alone!! was $500 max.. ever!!
