Will a 79' Dodge crew cab interchange with a 93' CTD
I am looking to buy a good donor 1979 Dodge crew cab. I want to mix and match parts with my 93' CTD. Will most everything interchange? (dash, fenders, bed, interior panels, etc)???? Thanks
Hhhmmm........... no replies?
I am being told that early crew cabs 72-8? have different body lines or something. Is this true? I know the dashes are totally different than the 89-93 CTD rigs. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure about the 72s to 78s but they look the same to me i do know there is no differance between 88 and 93 and i could'nt tell the differance between the 88 i bought for the tin to put on my 93 an the 76 1 ton wrecker sitting next to it , heck if i were you i'd take the cab and use it and come up with a way to use the old dash M2C i think they look better
Thg body line is different on the 72- til 80ish? , then the later CTD models
The fenders/ door/ bed and hood will all bolt on. The body lines will not always be the same if you use 90's fenders and doors on a '70's rig

I was hoping they would match the 93 CTD body lines. What about the hood/fenders/doors........will they work? My issue is that I found a 79' crew cab for dirt cheap and now I am not so sure I want to buy it if nothing will adapt to my 93' CTD. It would be nice to get a list of differences between the 70's trucks and the 80-90's rigs.
My understanding was that the back doors on the crew cabs never changed over the years.
SO as long as you use the front sheet metal, and the front doors from your 93, and then the box from your 93 as well, everything should look fine.
The only problem with body lines and stuff arise when you don't swap all the parts from the same years and styles.

About the only real difference in the body panels is the hard crease in the fenders and front doors. There is that bend about 6" from the top of the hood/fender area. The 70s fenders and doors don't have that. You can always put 81-93 fenders and doors on the truck if you don't like it smooth like that. The back doors did remain the same. I've got 85 rear doors on my 73.
So the body lines are different on the 70's crew cabs?
