I decided to go with the GDP 2mic. filter with cylinder head mount kit, got the intake horn also. Richard was great to deal with, can't wait to see the product first hand. Also got the Mag-hitec double deep pan for the tranny and steering stabilizer.
You guys like having the second fuel filter under the hood? I prefer the filters by the rear tire and run the stock filter. Easy to remove and replace.
My 2010/2002 under hood fuel filter is pain and makes a mess.
You guys running the second engine fuel filter, are you using the stock lift pump? Is it the intake verison or is it mounted on the side of the engine.

This is Glacier Diesel in Spokane. Small excellent shop in Spokane. Richard is the owner...

Depends where the filter is located under the hood.

Keeping the fuel filters in order of increasing filtration & keeping the stock fuel cannister with it's filter & heater makes sense to me.
I've got a 24 micron pre-pump filter/screen, the stock 7 micron filter in the stock cannister & the Glacier/Fleetguard "2" micron filter on the intake horn.
I've run this filtration system with the stock lift pump on the filter cannister, with the dual stock lift pumps on the filter cannister (the T & C system)
& now i'm back to a Walbro pump on the frame rail with adjustable bypass regulator.
My setup keeps my fuel filtration independant of my fuel pump. I can still run any pump I want on the frame rail. FASS standalone pump or AirDog Raptor or whatever.
I'm not a big fan of the under chassis FASS or Air Dog systems with all the filters hanging down & getting beat up by road debris.

Never had an issue, been on my truck for 8-9 years. My truck been in gravel/muck. I just pressure wash it off. I rather have the big filters do most of the cleaning and leave the stock filter as is. That way you can tell when you have a slug of trash. The stock filter its easy to see trash, those sealed fuel cartridge you have to cut open to see. I run a home made draw straw in my stock pick-up.
Been looking at the Hellman pick-ups, do they work? Do you snag the pick-up off roading or from road trash?
I did change the water seperator once due to freeze up. I carry extra filters, just incase of debris in the fuel. I monitor fuel pressure as I drive. Been stuck with the fuel pick-up full of trash issue one to many times.

Shipping from the US to Canada is always painful. I'm sure Richard will ship USPS but it will take 2 weeks+ to arrive although no broker charges.
UPS or Fedex ground from Spokane will take less than a week but they will charge plenty for brokerage.
This is why guys are driving to Sweetgrass, Montana.

Most guys running the FASS or AirDog pump/filter combo's under the truck bypass the stock filter cannister including the heater.
It's interesting that you kept it Mike...

Horn and filter from "Glacier", the pan and steering stabilizer from "Peak" in Langley. The stuff from Langley is only a bus ride away and across to the island for me, no duties etc...
Shipping from State-side is pretty simple for me also, gets shipped to the US ferry that does daily trips to Victoria/Seattle, pay duties when it arrives in Vic. and i'm on my way.

Here's my install with 3/8" 316 stainless lines bent to follow the stock lines and keep them out of the way, along with swagelock fittings. The horn is a nice fit and Richard at Glacier was great to deal with!
Cheers!

These under the hood 2 Mic set-ups look good but i have no room with my Amsoil by-pass as i made a bracket and mounted it on the cylinder head.I don't want to move it either so i was contemplating when time come to mount my Airdog in the tool box in the bed behind the cab(truck has tonnue cover so its protected/plus the tool box.).I saw a guy a while back with a flat deck body job and you could clearly see the Fass mounted behind the cab up high on the flat deck, seat level.I thought this may not work (Joe i picked your brain about this in Red Deer)because the pump may have to work a lot harder due to being higher above the fuel tank. The plan is to mount in the tool box with a 2 mic setup---easy to change filter/protected from the elements ect---may even throw a Transfer Flow 56 gallon larger tank i while i"m at it.My Airdog filters on the 01 sure do take a beating even tucked up under the fender/running board from the gravel roads---the pump itself is Ok but the filter are another story.

My VP kept drain fuel back, and loosing its prime. Pain in the butt, on those cold mornings. Never lost/broke a fass filter yet on the road. The 400watt factory fuel heater helps abit to degel the fuel.
