Best intake boost tube,IC,intake horn set-up???
What would be the ultimate parts list for a full turbo to head set-up? What size boost tubes? What type of couplings/clamps? What type (brand,size etc..) of intercooler? what brand/style of intake horn? I am leaning toward large is better on the boost tube/IC side of things, just not sure what is a practical limit on size.
As for intake horn, I am partial to the Banks twin ram like BC has on his rig, but the thought of re-working all of the injection lines is a little intimidating. want the best I can get, I have seen some home made jobs, and I am considering it but still can you really beat factory dyno results and testing?? I really like the ATS ARC Flow horn but the Factory rep says it will hit the hood on my truck, is this true? what are the differences between the large plenum type horns and a twin ram, or even a full size funnel type that uses the whole grid heater plate???
Any ideas?

Tim Worlline's Cooler Tubes are the way to go IMO. I think the 7.3 liter Powerstroke intercooler is the best intercooler to put in. It's about as big as will fit and has a little more core area than a 2nd gen Dodge unit.

Do any of those prefab tube/boot kits work directly with a '90 and a PS intercooler?
Another thing I was worried about is that I am gonna want a bigger radiator, as big as can possibly fit, but that stock one seems really crammed in there, as thin as it is. I'm not afraid to do a lot of fabricating, it's just that there seems to be very little distance between the fan and the face of the truck (even assuming the grill was removed entirely).

are you going to upgrade to the intercooled cummins croos flow radiator and water pump or put something even bigger in?
and the powerstroke intercooler i put in wasn't even wide enough to clear the stock radiator like we both have.

Anyone make custom crossover pipes? I want to do water/air intercooler but would need a custom crossover, i don't have a welder or the necessary tools to do that kindof thing and haven't seen anyone that makes em.
i think the cross flow is a good up grade for what i have heard but mine doesn't get hot when towing up hills aslong as i just slow down a little and run at a steady pace, not lugging or rapping it out, but then i also might not have been towing the same weight.
as for custom cross overs look on dtr for someone close to you and see if they have the welding skills and a welder, and would be interested in helping you. i would think as long as you supply for own parts to put it togeather they would help you weld it, i would but i am down near salem oregon, long drive for something that you might not be able complete in one day and drive home.

Well, the radiator in my '03 Ram 1500 4.7 struggled a lot with towing 5-6k up hills, and on real hot days it was dang near impossible. I went over the Grapevine in California once at like 10mph and it was still kinda scary looking at that temp gauge! The stock radiator in the '90 doesn't look that much bigger, and although I'm sure it wouldn't have a problem at all towing the same amount of weight that I did with the gas truck, I plan on towing a lot more (like 24k combined). Of course, I could just see how it does work...I'm not one of those guys that needs to fly up a mountain at 70mph.
just make sure the radiatior has nothing blocking it (cardboard) and your fan shroud is in good condition, plus make sure your windows roll down that way if it starts to run a little hotter than you want crank the heater up. but if you are runniong an auto? they put more heat to the radiator than a manual.
