Dave, how do you like that set-up? Did you notice any "butt dyno" gains?

I like it. It fits well and it makes my intake system 3" throughout.

My butt dyno isn't that finely tuned, and I added a PowerStroke intercooler at the same time.

Thanks, my dad and I keep looking at the stock elbow as a part to replace, but all the major places tell him they no longer make/stock parts for a 93.

Question

Well, it sounds like a 3" system and 7.3 PWR STRK IC are the way to go. I fired off a PM to TWorline, for the "go to guy" he sure doesn't have any pics or a filled out profile. We will see what he says. I think I really like the tubes, If they work as good as they look then I thin they are the way to go. Like all the other things I have asked about this is going to be down the road a ways.

What year Power joke IC or does it matter? Any 7.3?

Are there any other options for a new intake horn setup?

Any 7.3 will work, just make sure it has metal tanks, and not plastic.
The fit isnt as good, and may not be feasible with a 90-style grille, but I put a 2ndGen IC in my 92, with lots of room to spare on the sides. if you want AC, it may be a no-go with an earlier grille.

Machinos- try a load and see how it does. A diesel wont run as hot as a gasser, and you may be able to get away with keeping your stock radiator. If not, you can take the brackets from your stock set up and have them brazed onto a later intercooled radiator. My 91 had that done when I got it, and I never had any issues with it. At least not til the fan hub bearing took a dive for the radiator 10mi east of Terre Haute IN at 1 am.

Mattster- get ahold of rbrettctd- he had a calssified ad a few weeks ago for custom nonIC crossovers. I think anything you can do to improve airflow and get rid of that bottleneck will be good. Cant hurt.

Tim's not an advertiser here, and he follows the rules and doesn't try to push his product.

'00 - '03 are the years to look for on the 7.3 IC's.

There's also an article in the sticky about installing a 2nd gen intercooler into a non-IC truck. There are only a few square inches of difference in the core area, so keep your options open and buy what you can find for a good price. Either one can and has been done.
