Best aftermarket Intake horn

considering and intake horn for my 05- any feedback on the best performer out there, I will only need a single port at least for Boost connection.
Is there really notiable gains from them or are they just eye candy

I like my Glacier intake alot. And the price was right. Plus 4 ports for boost/water/meth/nos whatever you like. Very nice unit.

All the aftermarket intake horns are nice.Just pick which one you like based on looks and price. Are they worth buying?I cant say one way or the other.I didn't notice any difference with mine(ATS).They may help some but it is marginal, nothing your gonna feel in the seat of your pants. Now maybe a bombed twin turbo truck might could say different.

I think there must be a dozen different postings on the "Mods you regret" thread concerning disappointment with the aftermarket intake plenums. Seems that most feel you will only see an improvement when making real big hp numbers.

i like the cfm+, hard to say about performance with so many other mods but it can not hurt and the dyno test look good. I do know the truck cools down alot faster with it.

Left Coast Diesel ran different intakes on the same vehicle on their dyno. Here is the link to the tests and results...

I've had my CFM+ for a while now, so I've gotten pretty used to it but IIRC, it seemed like it fattened up the low and mid-range torque. I think the throttle response is also noticeably better, mostly in the 1K-1.8K rpm range.

What he said^^^

I bought the cfm+ based on the results Erik had at LCD. My personal observations pretty much confirmed what they found on the dyno. It does give a little more on the low end and a slighty better turbo response.

I bought a CFM+ nearly as soon as they came out, put it on and have retorqued it a couple of times, but the torque is always on. I did notice a marginal difference, mainly in the egt range and some quicker spoolup from down low. I have no regrets in getting it, it matches the underhood setup nice.

X2. I like mine, had it for about a year and enjoyed the test link above.

I was at vulcan performance on monday and they are coming out with a pretty cool looking polished stainless one with three ports. I THINK he said the price is going to be around 300 I dont know what the others are going for.

I tried the AFE blade runner recently. Even at 800+ HP I saw no gain in HP compared to the stocker. If it weren't for the looks and having the pre tapped spots for accessories, I would consider leaving well enough alone.

I needed the eye candy so I went with this bootleg job for $125, the only thing I noticed was it seams like my turbo sings a bit loader and I never took the ring out.
