Looking to Paint intake horn, vavle cover, intake tube, and some piping

Like I said I want to dress the motor just a tad, I saw what dodgeguy71 did and I like it. I want ta paint my intake horn instead of polish it. I want to do everything red. Would I just use high temp engine paint and clean and primer everything I wanted to do?

Right now I want to do the intake piping to the turbo, vavle cover, intake horn, maybe some intercoller piping.

Throw anything at me I might need.

sure, just hit all the desired parts with duplicolor's high heat enamel. it will come in two different heat ratings: 500* and 1200*. the cans have a picture of a motor on the front. napa and autozone should have it and they have many colors to choose from.

hey, thats exactly what i did on my truck, used high temp chrysler red paint, but didn't use the same brand primer like i should have, but it still turned out good, just make sure to be careful, its chips easy. eventually i will either powdercoat my stuff or color krome it. check out www.sikindusties.com for samples of color chrome, it looks sweet, and isn't real expensive.
also make sure you sand the crap out of the valve covers and also prime and wet sand and paint and paint and wet sand again and paint and then clear coat three or more times (not necassarily in that order, but you get the idea), but don't paint when its to hot outside it dries to quick while your painting. i didn't clear coat mine but i wish i had, makes cleaning them easier too, and looks better. have fun

I did a lot of sanding on mine, cleaned it off with paint thinner and then painted several light coats allowing them to dry in between. Used the high heat 1200 degree stuff. Dries a dull, not a gloss red, but I think it looks great. Good luck and have fun!!
